Project Ozone 3 #4 – Starting Mystical and Agricraft

Project Ozone 3: A New Way Forward is a pack filled to the brim of mods ranging from tech to magic to even exploration. A Better Questing pack filled with “currently 1106” quests (if you include the reward system). Project Ozone 3 also supports pack modes as they become available (Normal, Titan and Kappa). Normal mode in PO3 will be “slightly” more difficult than Project Ozone 2’s due to mod progression. There are still “simple” achievements after the main quests we just use Better Questing entirely.

  1. I really enjoy your take on Minecraft – you are knowledgeable, I can tell you love the game, and you're organized and a good designer! Thanks for all your hard work.

  2. Whenever you get an ore that has seeds, save four of that item needed to craft the seed. I always keep a chest in my farm of the 4 items so when I can craft the seed, I have what I need.

  3. Lots of advice here, I'll add mine:
    1. Plant a seed, clip it until you get enough to plant four in a cross shape, with the center open.
    2. Once those 4 have grown, put cross-crops on the dirt in the middle of the cross.
    3. Once that center plant grows, break it, analyze it. (it should be better than the four parents.
    4. Break the 4 parents, plant the child in one of the parent spots, clip it until you get four, wait for them to grow…repeat this process over and over.
    5. With sprinklers, watering cans bonemealer ability totem, and later, with growth accelerators, you can 10-10-10 crops in a few minutes. You only need one 10-10-10 plant because it will spread once you plant it.
    6. You can do the long lines of cross crops, but the cross-shape method is easier and takes less time.

  4. When it comes to Agricraft here's a few tips I've learned:
    1) Crossbreeding 2 parents can sometimes have children that are the same stats as one of the parents (or both, if they are the same). This is obvious when crossbreeding two different species and getting a child that is the same species as one of the parents.
    2) Crossbreeding 4 parents (in a cross shape) has given me faster child stat increases, and is default the faster way to crossbreed same species.
    3) Crossbreeding 10/10/10 parents of different species will give a new species child (when successful) that is 5/5/5.
    4) Growth is the speed the plant grows. Gain increases the amount gathered from a fully grown crop. Strength is supposedly the resistance to weeds.
    5) Always keep an extra 10/10/10 seed of each plant, just in case something goes horribly wrong 😉
    6) Have a block underneath the tilled ground, because sometimes agricraft plants can fall through (I've never seen them fall through, but with a block underneath, I've never had missing gathers).

Edit: Strength directly affects the chance that a clipping of a plant will take. At 10 strength, it is always successful.

  5. I just want to see you enjoying yourself mate. If you’re enjoying Agricraft, do Agricraft. Maybe cut to building or another mod and back, just to maybe break it up for any one who’s not entirely into it. Keep up the good stuff Thorgal mate

  6. Crates are like fully upgraded diamond chests but they cost the same as like 5 wooden chests, you should check them out 🙂

  7. Just a quick note for you.
As James Pearce mentioned, you can just set up the parent plant followed by a row of double crop sticks and the plant will imporve itself down the line.
Secondly, clippings "taking hold" when you plant them is based on the plants strength stat. A 10/10/10 clipping will always plant on the first try. Finding that this isnt required in this pack as you can just put a single crop stick beside the parent 10/10/10 and it will spread copies of itself to the other crop sticks.

  8. When you put the clippings – which have a small chance of taking on cropsticks – into the analyzer, they always seemed to turn into seeds; maybe that's a 100% chance…?
I love the antibarrel for mob farm drops.

I also hate it when you make mistakes like using an inferium seed instead of a crafting seed – it's almost as if you're human like us, as if you make mistakes like us, as if you sometimes derp like us… 😉

#InferiumWithUs… oh wait… I'd say, show on-camera when there is something new – but you're already doing that… Hope you feel better soon.

  9. just a question, couldn't you take the clippings and put them in the analiser to get seeds which you can then plant without the chance of it not working?

  10. I absolutely love the agricraft and I want more of it on camera! Maybe you can do another full episode of just agricraft?

  11. Try putting a single parent crop down and next to it a long line of double crop sticks, you shouldn't need two parents in this version? it isn't garenteed the first time but with a long line, it will 10/10/10. and yes if you fully upgrade the highest tier or inferium seed you'll get a ridiculous amount.

  12. Yeah it's quite peaceful to do agricraft, especially if you have a watering can.
You can shift right click to place a double crop stick so you don't need to click twice.
Strength effects how likely one of the clippings you take is going to make a seed. So if you have a clipping of a seed with strength 10 then you have 100% chance of a seed so strength is the most important thing to improve straight away so you can spread the seeds quicker so they can cross breed. I wouldn't recommend using the Clippers to spread a seed with strength 1 but if it's strength is 5 then I would.
Also the more seeds surrounding a single double crop stick the more the stats can improve in one go so if you have 4 seeds surrounding a single spot you can jump from a 1,1,1 seed to a 4,4,4 if you're lucky.
I would recommend using the actually additions farmer to harvest the seeds at this level because it's super cheap for you and can harvest all the different types of agricraft seeds leaving the crop sticks and seeds alone 🙂 although later the crop harvested from industrial forgoing is better

  13. Pigmen attack when you mine ores in the nether, if i remember correctly you can get around this by using silk touch.

  14. Hey thor, inferium seeds can geht better, i just did. But you do not need two parents but can also do it in a straight line, starting with only one. It takes like 30ish speads/blocks to get a seed to 10/10/10

  15. Hi Thorgal. Check the Agricraft config for the seed breeding settings. There's an option that will up-grow crops without the need to do cross breeding pairs. It might have been enabled. You can simply place a line of double cropsticks and the seed stats will improve at the crops spread along.

Edited to correct your name. Apologies Thorgal.
