The Ultimate Gift

Jason thought his inheritance was going to be the gift of money and lots of it. Was he ever in for a big surprise. Based on the best-selling book “The Ultimate Gift” by Jim Stovall, the story sends trust fund baby Jason Stevens on an improbable journey of discovery, having to answer the ultimate question: “What is the relationship between wealth and happiness?” Jason had a very simple relationship with his impossibly wealthy Grandfather, Howard “Red” Stevens. He hated him. No heart-to-heart talks, no warm fuzzies, just cold hard cash. So of course he figured that when Red died, the whole “reading of the will” thing would be another simple cash transaction, that his Grandfather’s money would allow him to continue living in the lifestyle to which he had become accustomed. But what Red left him was anything but simple. Red instead devised a plan for Jason to experience a crash course on life. Twelve tasks, which Red calls “gifts,” each challenging Jason in an improbable way, the accumulation of which would change him forever.

  1. Balled my eyes out. Figured he would give the money away, i just thought he would have said he didn't want the money! He just wanted his grandfather back. The girl dieing was sad, but was also the only way he cud really understand what his grandfather went thru when he lost a child.

  2. This movie touched me. I lost my uncle just two days ago and this reminded me of him. He was a warm and generous man. He will be missed Rip Uncle Ed 2020 ⭐⭐⭐⭐👍👍

  3. That was the most loving and touching story I have ever watched,, Emily was a sweet little girl and she was an out spoken little girl,, she knew what she wanted ,, she was very precious

  4. What should it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8:36
You can not serve money and God….. Matthew 6:24

  6. What an amazing movie. I am not rich like the character in this movie. I am rich in love from my relatives & friends. Looking for meaning in life describes I'm sure everyone living on earth. I am wasteful like the character but without all the money. We all need encouragement like the type Jason's grandfather gave him. Job well done to all the actors, actresses, & directors who worked on this movie.

  7. “Where’s the girl?…Nurse: “Who, Emily…she’s with God”…next scene he is sitting in the chapel with Emily… 🙁

  8. I passed this recommended video by so many times. Shrugged it off like a sappy Hallmark movie. Finally I watched it and so glad I did but a little irked as I would've clicked so much sooner if James Garner, Brian Dennehy, and Lee Merriwhether(sp?) had been listed as part of the cast in the description area.
